7 Holiday Gifts Your Employees Will Love!
If you think your holiday gifts for your employees are lacking this year... here are a few ideas to boost their spirit and loyalty any time of the year!
- Flex hours. If there's one perk that your employees will jump for joy over, it's flexible work schedules. Flex time as a perk that offers the most gain with the least pain.
- Send a handwritten note. Employees crave attention - positive attention from their boss. A handwritten note not only makes them feel well, it may even shock them into better performance! But it better be handwritten BY YOU!
- Reward effort as well as success. Even if their ideas sometimes fail, you want employees to keep producing them! Try having a quarterly event where your employees can discuss ideas that didn’t work or never made it to the public. Make it a fun event with pizza or snacks!
- Give them a free pass. A free day off that is. Yes! An extra day off. You would be shocked at how much of a difference “me time” makes to your employees.
- Dole out cream and sugar, snacks and fruit. Yes - give it away! Make the holidays that much easier by providing more than the expected holiday treats - give them coffee, or unlimited fruit and snacks. The holidays are crazy busy, especially for dedicated employees. Let them know you really really really appreciate them!
- Remember the spouses. Have a holiday party and invite the spouses and treat them well! You want the spouses to be speaking highly of you at home. Give them a reason to remind your employees why it’s a great place to work when it’s been a “tough day at the office.” If your employees are family oriented - have a party with the kids and wrap a personal present for each one.
- Let them work from home. Productivity can go through the roof when you allow some of your employees to work from home. This is so widespread, it’s the norm in some companies. And during the holidays - some employees just want to be at home. Trust them to get their normal work done and give them a little peace this holiday season.
